If you tested positive for COVID-19 at a lab or testing site, you do not need to report your positive test results as they are already reported to us. Leave a voicemail with your name, date of birth, race/ethnicity, address, phone number, email address, date of test and vaccination status. Those without computer access can call 573.874.7634 to report a positive at-home test. If you took a COVID-19 test at home that was positive, we encourage you to report the results here. What do I do if I have a positive result from an at-home test? Please refer these individuals to our What to do After COVID-19 Exposure opens PDF file document so that they know the next steps they need to take for themselves and how to protect others. The first people to tell about your positive test result are individuals you’ve been in close proximity to for an extended period of time beginning 2 days prior to your symptom onset or 2 days prior to you testing positive for COVID-19 if no symptoms were present. Who should I tell about my positive test result? If you live with other people, try your best to confine yourself to one room away from others and use a separate bathroom if possible. Isolating means staying home and away from other people, for the duration of your most infectious period. If you feel sick after the five-day isolation period, you should keep isolating until your symptoms start improving, and seek medical attention if your symptoms get worse. If you are asymptomatic (do not have symptoms): The day you test positive is considered “day zero,” while the following full day is day one, the next day is day two and so on. You can leave isolation after 5 full days if you no long have symptoms or if your symptoms are resolving. Day 1 is the first full day after your symptoms developed. ![]() If you have symptoms: To calculate your 5-day isolation period, day zero is your first day of symptoms. Continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days. If you have a fever, continue to stay home until your fever resolves. If you have no symptoms or your symptoms are resolving after 5 days, you can leave your house. Stay home for 5 days and do your best to stay away from those you live with. Regardless of vaccination status, you should begin isolating immediately if you test positive for COVID-19. ![]()
